This session will help participants…

  1. identify evidence-based interventions that align with the four functions of school refusal behavior;
  2. examine a procedure for formulating a case conceptualization for school refusal behavior; and
  3. develop recommendations and evidence-based interventions, given a case study involving school refusal behavior.

Description

School refusal behavior inhibits academic progress and social–emotional development. This session will review methodologies for evaluating and intervening with school refusal behavior, through examination of case studies.
